Sputnik V given green light by President Putin

The unfamiliar Covid-19 attacked the world and unveiled the reality, we are still not as advanced as we thought. We, humans, are fragile, mortal, and oblivious. Covid-19 acted as a catalyst for self-realization for developed, developing, and under-developed nations around the world. US, UK, Italy, India, and many more became a victim of carelessness.

After understanding the severity of the situation, the world focused on finding a vaccine and as soon as possible. Recently, Russia announced that it had approved a vaccine for Covid-19, becoming the first in the world to do so. The drug dubbed as Sputnik V has President Putin’s approval. He states, “I know it has proven efficient and forms a stable immunity, and I would like to repeat that it has passed all the necessary tests.”

Nations around the globe are still suspicious of the drug and question its productivity. Jens Spahn, the German Health Minister believes that the drug is not adequately tested. He states, “It can be dangerous to start vaccinating millions, if not billions, of people too early because it could pretty much kill the acceptance of vaccination if it goes wrong, so I’m very skeptical about what’s going on in Russia.”

Dr Anthony Fauci who is one of the most renowned infectious disease expert in the United States is highly skeptical of the vaccine and doubts its effectiveness. He states, “If we wanted to take the chance of hurting a lot of people, or giving them something that doesn’t work, we could start doing this, you know, next week if we wanted to. But that’s not the way it works.”

The World Health Organization is amidst discussion with the Russian authorities and believes that the “vaccine” can not be produced until Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials are completed without any red flags.
